Upgrade System & Clicker Game Mechanics with Godot Engine: Idle Game Devlog #3

It’s a clicker game now! I implemented a new concept in my Godot idle game that you probably know from games like Cookie Clicker or Clicker Heroes: Clicking! Not because I think this feature is so great in idle games, but because it actually makes sense for my context and my game.

In addition, players can now buy upgrades that make their investments even more successful and allow them to earn money faster. For the fact that I only had a few days of development time, I am satisfied with the result. What do you think?

  1. How do you like the intro? Should I film scenes outside my desk more often and put them into my devlogs?

  2. I love how nice and chill this is! Genuinely interested in seeing more 😀

  3. Great work. This looks like it'll be pretty chill when it's done.

  4. I like idle clicker games! I'm playing AFK Arena at work hehe (does that count?)

  5. I would like to see more of the actual game in the devlogs, nice work though! Super high quality camera work

  6. Great video man, your getting good at this! Love the scenery and the vibes. Cool to see your workflow. So awesome that your adding player interaction!!😁👌 keep up the good work

  7. It's kinda refreshing seeing devlog not about another 2D surviving game. Keep up the good work!

  8. Really like your Devlog style and the game looks interesting. Hope to see more of the game and definitely more Ducks in upcoming devlogs. BTW careful not let dogs near your camera in the park when recording, Iv had a bad experience with that 👍 Subbed

  9. I also have an idea for a clicker/idle game that I've been thinking about & jotting ideas down for a few months, but I've just started learning Godot. I am currently going through HeartBeast's RPG tutorial to grasp the foundations/basic of Godot before diving into any major development in a commercial game. I'll be going through most of the tutorials and a bit of Emilio's since he has a clicker tutorial series, but I was wondering if you will make your own tutorial series on idle games? Also, as another has pointed out, really nice work on the camera angles! I can definitely see your channel will grow in rapidly in the future from the quality of your videos!
